The new Lamborghini Huracán EVO brings more power

The brand new Lamborghini Huracán EVO steps up the game of the baby Lamborghini with more power, revised aero and an updated interior. The updates bring the power of the Performante along with the latest in handling and driving dynamics.

One of the main upgrades done to the Huracán EVO over the standard Huracán is the increase in power to 640 hp (470 KW) and 600 Nm of torque from the V10 at 6500 RPM. The result of this power increase is that the
Huracán EVO will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and from 0-200 km/h in, an even more impressive, 9.0 seconds.

Another key improvement is the introduction of rear-wheel steer (RWS), one of the many features within the package Lamborghini refers to as Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI). While rear wheel steer has been on the Aventador since the introduction of the Aventador S in 2016, this is the first time this has been available on the Huracán. This package include rear-wheel steer, torque vectoring and the LDVI control unit which “controls every aspect of the car’s dynamic behaviour, fully integrating all of the car’s dynamic systems and set-up to anticipate the next move and needs of the driver, interpreting this into perfect driving dynamics.”

The Huracán was already known for being a fairly agile car, as it is based on the Audi R8, so the RWS will result in the Huracán EVO having great handling dynamics, even on city streets.

In the styling department there have been a number of changes made. The exhaust has been moved up to flank the license plate, similar to the Performanté as well as the integrated lip spoiler to manage the airflow. There is also an all new front bumper with an integrated splitter and a revised underbody to help direct air, resulting in 5 times more downforce than the original Huracán. There have also been a number of styling changes to emphasize the Lamborghini hexagon design language throughout the exterior, including the wheel design, the windows and rear air intakes.

One of the upgrades that many customers will enjoy is the new infotainment system. The new system will feature an 8.4” touchscreen and will include gesture control and Apple Car play. The infotainment system will also include an optional dual-camera telemetry system and hard drive allowing track going Huracán EVO owners the chance to record their laps and review the saved telemetry to improve lap times.

The Huracán EVO will start at $261,274 USD and the first deliveries will begin in the spring of 2019.
