Is Kimi’s return to Sauber good for F1?

After 18 years Kimi Raikonnen will be driving for Sauber again next year. Is this a good thing for Sauber and F1 or is Kimi just trying to hang on a bit longer with whoever would sign him? When Kimi lost his drive at Ferrari in 2018 to newcomer Charles Leclerc many thought that Kimi would retire. Nobody would blame him since he’s had a very successful career in F1. Kimi won the Driver’s Championship in 2007 during his first stint at Ferrari and has spent time at Sauber, McLaren, Ferrari, Lotus and Renault. New halo cars coming ahead of 2020

With the new hypercar regulations for WEC in 2020 and the homologation requirements of a minimum of 25 units to be produced, this means that we will see new road going halo cars from each of the new entrants in LMP1. New LMP1 hypercar regulations coming in 2020

Starting in the 2020/2021 season of the WEC there will be a new set of LMP1 cars set to battle it out for endurance racing supremacy thanks to an all new set of regulations using hypercar based bodies, road going powertrains and requiring a minimum number of units to be manufactured each year – 25 in 2020 and 100 in 2021. On December 5, 2018 the FIA voted in favor of the new changes. This is all very exciting news as the new rules have sparked renewed life into an otherwise dying category. In recent years LMP1 has lost major manufacturer teams such as Audi and Porsche due to soaring…
