The Audi Q5 Sportback, now with even less headroom
Audi is playing catchup and capitalizing on the fastback SUV craze that has been sweeping the world for the past few years. Audi has done this by chopping off the back of the “Squareback Q5” and releasing new 2021 Audi Q5 Sportback and SQ5 Sportback to stand alongside the standard Q5 and SQ5. This continues along from the release of the Q3 Sportback and eTron Sportback models in the past year. The Sportback variants will compete directly with the Mercedes GLC Coupe, BMW X4 and the upcoming Infinity QX55. The Sportback variant isn’t new for Audi. They have had the A5 Sportback for several years and has sold very well…

The Crossovers you didn’t know you wanted
SUVs are popular, extremely popular. Now this may be the understatement of the century, but go with me here. With many brands dropping once popular sedans in favor of the increasingly popular compact and mid-sized SUVs the SUV trend looks to have no end in sight. And now with less sedans and other body styles to make hotted, more and more brands letting their performance divisions loose on their SUVs. Super SUVs are picking up steam lately with a hotter version of nearly everyone’s mid-sized SUV. Mercedes has been doing this for years with their AMG versions of the GLC, G-Wagon and (formerly) M-class SUV. All of the other brands…

The best of Geneva 2019
I have been told that if you were to go to any auto show it should be Geneva. Not only do you get to go to Switzerland, but Geneva is the show that all of the automakers reveal their best kept secrets. This year was no exception, with crazy new cars from Renault, Honda and Aston Martin along with a few new cars that are getting a lot of attention from Ferrari and Lamborghini, among others. Below are the highlights from the show from my perspective. I think that Aston Martin stole the show this year with not 1, not 2 but 3 debuts, plus the launch of their all…

Canada’s hot hatch segment is now even hotter
The loss of the Focus RS and the Fiesta ST have left a gaping hole in the hot hatch market, not only in Canada, but in most of the world. Europe and the UK get more options in this segment from the likes of Peugeot and others, but in Canada the only real options left are the Volkswagen Golf GTi and Golf R, Honda Civic Type R and the new for 2019 Hyundai Veloster N. However for the 2020 model year Canada will finally be getting the Mercedes A35 AMG. I have been a fan of the last generation Mercedes A45 AMG and was very disappointed that it was never…

The 600LT loses its roof
The brand new McLaren 600LT Spider was revealed today. This is part of McLaren’s plan to release 15 new models by 2022. While it is not a totally new model it is new … and exciting. This is the 5th vehicle to wear the LT badge, one that was introduced on the F1 GTR Longtail (LT) racecar in 1997. The LT moniker was reintroduced on the 675LT Coupé in 2015. The 600LT was already faster and more agile than the previous benchmark of the 675LT. The signature top mounted exhausts are already known for spitting flames and having the top down will only add to the excitement and being able…

Behold the new 2020 Toyota Supra
While the new Supra was expected to be revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in a few days, thanks to Toyota Mexico the official, un-camouflaged images have been released. Toyota’s Mexican arm accidentally sent out a tweet with the images this morning. While the tweet has since been removed Jalopnik was speedy enough to capture both the tweet and the images. Translated to English, the tweet read “Our new #Supra arrived in Japan!, and this is the story that #AkioToyoda tells us about its return.” Below you can find the glorious images taken from the video that was posted: I think the car looks really good and will likely please…

The new Lamborghini Huracán EVO brings more power
The brand new Lamborghini Huracán EVO steps up the game of the baby Lamborghini with more power, revised aero and an updated interior. The updates bring the power of the Performante along with the latest in handling and driving dynamics. One of the main upgrades done to the Huracán EVO over the standard Huracán is the increase in power to 640 hp (470 KW) and 600 Nm of torque from the V10 at 6500 RPM. The result of this power increase is that the Huracán EVO will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and from 0-200 km/h in, an even more impressive, 9.0 seconds. Another key improvement is the…
